Insulation Cost Planning

Estimate cost only after you have converted the measured area into a realistic whole-package purchase quantity.

1. Calculate purchase quantity

Measure the net area, add a visible project allowance, divide by manufacturer coverage and round up to whole packages, boards, rolls or batt packs.

2. Apply supplier pricing

Material cost = whole purchase quantity × your entered unit price.

3. Keep extra costs separate

Add delivery and other known project costs separately rather than hiding them inside the material price. This makes price changes easier to review.

4. Compare like with like

When comparing products, check package coverage as well as price. A cheaper pack may cover less area.
