Insulation Coverage per Pack Explained

Coverage per pack is the most reliable purchasing input when it comes from the exact product you intend to buy.

Why coverage matters

Two insulation products with similar dimensions can have different pack quantities, thicknesses and stated coverage. Use the value printed by the manufacturer or supplier for that specific product.

Package formula

Exact packages = purchase area ÷ coverage per package. Round the result up to a whole package.

Keep waste separate

Apply your project-specific allowance before dividing by pack coverage. This keeps the measured area, extra allowance and purchase rounding visible.

Example

For 43 m² of purchase area and 7.2 m² coverage per pack, the exact requirement is 5.97 packs, so the purchase quantity is 6 packs.
